Introduction & Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Pi VPN, developed by Bright Core Technologies ("we", "us"), handles user data and information when installing and using the app on Android devices.

We believe privacy is a fundamental digital right. Pi VPN is engineered to provide advanced connection security and robust encryption while adhering to strict transparency and minimal data handling principles.

VPN Tunnel & Android VpnService

Pi VPN uses the official Android VpnService API to create a secure, encrypted device-level tunnel for routing Internet traffic.

The core and sole purpose of utilizing VpnService is:

• Encrypting incoming and outgoing network traffic to protect personal data against eavesdropping and interception, especially on untrusted public Wi-Fi networks.

• Routing network packets through secure high-speed remote servers to deliver a private, reliable Internet browsing experience.

• Pi VPN never manipulates traffic for advertising tracking, and the VPN tunnel is only activated upon explicit user initiation via the Connect button.

Strict No-Logs Policy

We enforce a strict, comprehensive No-Logs Policy regarding your VPN tunnel traffic:

• We do NOT log, monitor, record, or store the websites you visit or the apps you access while connected to the VPN.

• We do NOT log or retain DNS queries.

• We do NOT inspect, record, or store payload content or network packets.

• We do NOT associate your originating IP address with any online browsing activity.

• We NEVER sell, rent, lease, or share browsing activity records with any third parties or advertisers.

Account Data & Authentication

Pi VPN offers two access modes for your convenience and privacy:

• Guest Mode: Requires no registration or personal email. You can instantly access the service with an ephemeral, locally generated guest identifier.

• Email Account: If you choose to register, we only collect your email address and securely hashed credentials to sync your rewards balance and VIP access across devices.

Authentication and user profile storage are securely managed through Supabase infrastructure utilizing industry-standard TLS and AES encryption protocols.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Pi VPN integrates Google AdMob SDK to support free server access and rewarded points mechanics (e.g. Rewarded Video Ads).

Google AdMob operates under Google's own Privacy Policy. AdMob SDKs may collect non-sensitive device telemetry such as Google Advertising ID, operating system version, and general ad interaction diagnostics for fraud prevention and reporting.

We never share account credentials or any VPN tunnel information with Google AdMob or marketing partners.

Technical & Diagnostic Information

To ensure server availability, optimal connection routing, and technical stability, minimal aggregated diagnostics may be processed:

• Selected server region and connection timestamp.

• Approximate bandwidth metrics and current session data volume (calculated and displayed locally in the UI).

• Anonymized crash logs to troubleshoot software exceptions and enhance app reliability.

Data Security & Encryption

We implement defense-in-depth security standards to protect user data, including end-to-end transport layer encryption for all communications between the app, authentication backend, and VPN servers via industry-standard TLS/HTTPS protocols.

Cryptographic keys and session tokens are safeguarded in accordance with Android secure keystore and security best practices.

User Rights & Account Deletion

You have full autonomy over your personal information at all times:

• Request complete and permanent deletion of your registered account and all associated profile records from our databases.

• Inquire about the basic account metadata linked to your email.

• Cease service usage and uninstall the app at any time without restriction.

Children's Privacy

Pi VPN is not targeted at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately for deletion.
